hi, is this ativ 500 or 700 supporting USB charging?

Hey, I'm not that tech savvy but the charger that comes with it is just a port in the back. However, I used my USB phone charger to charge my phone from the tablet occasionally. I hope that helps you :)

Is the keyboard included with this item at the $499 price I was quoted for this item?

Yes the keyboard was included, however if you read the other comments the tablet and keyboard do no fit together well and so the tablet is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I use a wireless usb keyboard and it works much better.

Does this tablet support ink to text?

Yes, using the built in windows touch keyboard options.
