Yes. The 500t and 700t  come with Spens. They fit nicely into a slot (think: Nintendo 3ds).

The only draw back to this is that they don't have built in "erasers". If you buy an aftermarket digitizer pen with an eraser it will work nicely, though.

Is this unit running regular Windows 8 or is it RT?

This unit comes with full Windows 8 (not RT) and is easily upgradeable to Windows 8.1 as well, similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro. So yes, you can download and use the Windows "apps" from the Windows store as well as most of your legacy applications that ran under older versions of Windows.

Has anyone else experienced the keyboard dock connection issues with this unit that are mentioned in this product's sole Newegg review and in many reviews on Amazon and on other sites?

Question 4

What comes in the box?  Do you get the replacement pen tips?

My box included the main tablet, the keyboard dock, and the pen, which is stowed in the side of the tablet.  That's all!  No CD/DVD restore disks, however, Samsung sent me one simply with the asking for no charge.  Samsung and Newegg are both primo companies!

How long does the rechargeable battery last per charge?

Depends on what you are doing.  Heavy use is about 2.5 - 3 hours, lighter use more like 5-6. hours.  Having said that I keep it plugged in if I can.  Battery is very much like a laptop as far as how fast it drains so do not expect Android or IPad like battery life.  But then you get a laptop in a small form factor, so I think the trade off is worth it.

This deal is incredible considering the full price for a new one but I noticed there's no refund and only replacements. I've never bought a refurbished computer before nor have I ever bought a computer online before. so I don't know what to expect (considering that I'm very picky when it comes to to buying computers and always take great care of everything I've owned). Did you find anything on your 700T that clearly tells you it's refurbished and not new? If I were to find something legitimate like that, is it a hassle to get a replacement?

The product I got has a 90 day warranty included, you get a nice legal document about the 90 warranty in the box.  I have purchased from Newegg for almost all my computer parts and never a problem with returns.  Any Replacement would involve the manufacturer and not Newegg so it might take allot longer to get resolved. 
I have purchased refurbished products and so far 100% success rate in that they still work and I cannot tell what if anything is not new.  For this product the almost 50% off is more then worth it.  I think the only thing fixed on these is the keyboard docking issue of it disconnecting at times, which does happen if you tilt the tablet at angles and do not support the keyboard.  In normal use on my lap or the table I never get the disconnect/reconnect sound.  Personally I am happy with it and my other refurbished purchase (Android tablet).  I will say that if I had to use this unit without the S-Pen at this screen resolution I would not be as happy with the tablet, desktop mode is hard to use as everything is kind of tiny, I see why Microsoft went with the lower resolution, but we have a mighty pen so it is all okay.

Question 7

Does this include the S-Pen? Or is it compatible? I saw one comment that said it included a pen, but I'm interested specifically in the S-Pen with its pressure sensitivity and palm control. Thanks!

The manual calls the pen a S-Pen and mine looks exactly like the picture in the manual.  It is sensitive to pressure and they tip is depress able when you touch the screen.  You only have to  get near the screen for it to work, which other pens I have used do not do.

It is not mention if the processor supports turbo boost technology or not and what is the maximum freq?

Ok found it again. The 3317U CPU is 1.7 Ghz with turbo up to 2.6 Ghz. Found at Intel's site.

Does this come with Microsoft office on it?

has the software for installation on it, but no license key. So you will still need to purchase a license.

Question 10

Does anyone who purchased this hear "noise" in the audio (both the internal speakers and the 1/8" output) when you have the power supply attached??  I'm an audio engineer, and I cannot have that.  I'm contemplating a return if the issue cannot be resolved.  I have submitted an issue with Samsung customer service.
