7 years! 2/4/2019 10:52:43 AM

Pros: It ran flawlessly for 7 years! Purchased it through Newegg for my graphic design super tower computer. Never had any issues with it. Alas, after 7 years of everyday use it finally died. This SSD was perfect and well worth the money. Thank you SanDisk!

Cons: None, easy install, read/write never had any issues, and always worked fast.

Overall Review: I highly recommend this SSD.

Honorably retired after 4 years. 6/16/2016 5:02:18 PM

Pros: Since the firmware update, they have been utterly reliable for years.

Very helpful tech support from manufacturer.

Cons: One died early on. Manufacturer replaced it and assisted me with firmware updates on the other two, so that they wouldn't also die. Apparently a bad firmware version got out into the wild.

Overall Review: Even in RAID0, these are slower than today's SSDs. Ah, well. The inexorable march of time...

Died soon after warranty expiration. 3/20/2016 5:56:13 PM

Pros: Fast and competitively priced.

Cons: Dead and useless after 3 years and 10 months. The hassle and expense to replace this significantly worsens the value proposition of SanDisk's SSD. Buyer beware. Do not buy. The HDD that this Ultra replaced is still going strong after 10 years of frequent, daily use.

Good until it died. 1/7/2016 9:41:40 PM

Pros: Fast while it worked.

Cons: Died after 3 yrs 10 months. Just did not boot one day. OS would not recognize. Tested on other computers - just dead.

Overall Review: SSD have a long way to go in reliability. Scratch SanDisk off the list of suppliers.

Great until it dies 12/13/2015 1:56:18 PM

Pros: Fast and reliable while it worked.

Cons: As soon as it stops working the disk is totally useless. There's no "hey you're gonna get a failed disk, back your stuff up," it just up and dies. It died today, just outside of the Sandisk warranty (3.5 years), we'll see how they handle the RMA. That will most definitely effect my purchasing decision going forward. I thought Sandisk SSDs were all the rage because they make tons of flash memory, so we'll see what happens.

Died two months past warranty 8/23/2015 9:27:56 AM

Pros: Worked well up till July 2015 when it stopped working.

Cons: Two months past warranty and it failed. HP laptop stopped recognizing it. Connected it to my MacBook pro and was unrecognizable.

Overall Review: I think it should have lasted longer.

Died in just over 3 years 5/10/2015 2:45:36 PM

Pros: Was fast when it was working. Easily loaded Windows 7. Worked great until its sudden demise.

Cons: Just suddenly dies right after the three year limited warranty expired. Bought in October of 2011, dies in April 2015...about 3.5 years. I have 20gb hard drives that are 10+ years old that still work. Does not build my confidence in these new fangled things....

Overall Review: Make sure you back up everything. Even these solid state drives are not to be trusted to last much longer than a normal hard drive.

Pros: Decent SSD for the price. Performance was solid until it crashed. I can't complain too much as it was a cheap SSD and it lasted a couple years.

Cons: Died after 2 years
