Pros: Low profile, super quiet, low temp, good manufacturing quality, price (when discounted with free shipping, that is)
Cons: Overly aggressive power management (freq gets too low and card under-performs or "stutters"), HDMI display detection is often inaccurate (works ok on some displays, some not) resulting in improper scaling (not an issue with DVI) and there is no scaling control whatsoever. Limted OC control (+25 MHz max)
Overall Review: The stuttering in video playback mentioned in a few of the other's reviews is a result of the GPU constantly switching frequencies between 100 MHz (not a typo) and 400 MHz (smooth playback simply ain't gonna happen below 400 MHz, even with just DVD). The 650 MHz spec is 3D only, and actually looks pretty good all things considered. Sad part is, there is no real control in Catalyst at this time. With the 5000 series and Cat 10.xx you could OC the card a bit and it would increase the min freq and fix the stutter - not so with the Cat 11.4 or higher needed for this card. Another issue in other's reviews has been picture quality, and that is from this cards fickled display detection and not knowing how to scale; it's not a matter of the display being too big or small, it's the fact this card doesn't always recognize what it's connected to.
