Based on the cutting-edge 28nm GCN architecture, this card is built around 2048 Stream Processors, and enormous 6GB/384-bit GDDR5 memory - a World first for a consumer graphics, to deliver mind-boggling performance for multi-screen gaming as well as demanding professional applications such as content creation, video editing or rendering. The boundary of performance can be further pushed by EZ Boost Button, which increases the GPU clock frequency to extract more performance for smoother game frame rates. Vapor-X cooler is based on a new vapor chamber design and delivers exceptional thermal performance you can rely on even during extreme load condition. This card has built in onboard LEDs for easy monitoring of the PCB’s temperature at a glance.
EZ Boost Button:By default, Vapor-X HD 7970 GHz Edition 6GB runs at 1000 MHz and dynamic boosts to 1050 MHz on the engine with the memory clock at 6000 MHz effective. Simply press the EZ Boost Button, the base clock is increased to 1050 MHz with dynamic boost to 1100 MHz on the engine. The fan profile and power tune limit is also changed to performance settings.
Blue Power+Blue Power+ consists of many premium designs, 8 phase power design for GPU VDDC, 1 phase for VDDCI and 1 phase for MVDD, brand new double side Black Diamond Choke, Directfet and 12 layer PCB to ensure the board run fast and stable. The brand new double sided Black Diamond Choke 4 reduces the temperature around the power design portion in lab test when compared to the reference PCB design.

When operational temperatures drop by 20°C, the product life span is extended by a factor of ten, when the operational temperature increases by 20°C, the product life span only decreases by 10%.
