Does it come with/download clone software?

Hello. It does not come with cloning software. If you have a newer Dual HDD Docking Station, then if the HDD to SSD are the same size, the Docking station can clone without the PC. However, if the HDD is larger than the SSD then you must use software. You can clone using software installed in Windows to HDD using USB connection or you can use the bootable version (either DVD or USB thumb drive) and boot to the media and clone. Hope this helps.

what's the diff between the 'barracuda' n 'ironwolf' drives?

BarraCuda is for Desktops and Ironwolf is mostly for NAS. Also, speed being similar but Ironwolf is a tad slower needing longevity and a little more expensive. BarraCuda leans towards the Consumer and Ironwolf leans towards the business or maybe approaching commercial but mostly for NAS reliability. Hope this helps.
