Your drive must be converted to GPT and your motherboard must be UEFI (not BIOS) [motherboards switched to UEFI about 7 yrs ago] to support over 2.2TB use on drive as the system drive for Windows 7/8/10. You can convert to GPT and use the drive as data drive (D: drive). If UEFI is supported, you can convert the C drive to GPT without data loss and then extend the partition to the entire drive.

Do these Pro drives truly have the 5-yr warranty?  If I enter the s/n at Seagate will it show 5 years or some OEM 1-yr warranty?

What is the MTBF time of this HDD?

MTBF for this drive is 1 million hrs.  MTBF is an exponential decay curve of how many drives are left spinning over time. Don't expect to get your million hours. Plan on replacing the drive 3 to five years (or have a rock-solid backup plan). I purchase 5 yr warranty drives because I can swap to another drive from a backup while that drive is being replaced. Also only 5 yr warranty drives in my NAS server. PS - drives also have a high failure rate in the first month of operation.
