Does this hard drive work with Intel?

Vague question.  Intel is a large multinational corporation with decades of history and thousands of products on the market, from CPU to bus controllers to network to graphics and so on.  Some combinations of products likely work fine, others may have bugs or glitches, others may be incompatible.  Even if a given combination of Intel chips ought to work, some mainboard manufacturers may have buggy BIOS or other firmware.  The same can be said of AMD or any of the PCIe chipset manufacturers, like ASMedia.  If you want a specific answer, ask a specific question.  Gor example, will this ABC mainboard work with this Seagate FireCuda 520 SSD?

I do not see a Heat shield ? Does it need iit?

It does not have a heat shield. It could use one but it is not required. The branding is a label that can be peeled off which is what I did when I installed my heat shield from my motherboard.

It is not tuned for AMD. It requires PCIe 4 for maximum performance, but can work with PCIe 3 as well, just transfer speeds will be lower because the PCIe 3 bus is slower.

as of right now PS5 doesn't support expansion SSD as of yet. But looking at the speeds id say yes but we would have to see until SONY makes an official announcement which is rumor to be around summer

if you have a pciex4 board i would justify it otherwise pay no more than 350 with intent that it will go in a upgraded mb some day.  otherwise you may just as well go pcie3 and save a few bucks.  it uses quality parts ie Toshiba chips coupled with 5 year warrany and good mtbf so those should be factors to consider as well
