I need to clone my failing hard drive to that one. Will I still get all the performance of the sshd?

Its never going to be lightning fast like an M2 drive.  I use this drive as a mass store device in my system, I don't put my OS or other apps that dramatically impair performance there.  However, the system of overall fairly fast.  If you need lighting speed and your host will support an M2, get one instead, else an SSD.

No it doesn't.  Buy a cheap one or your motherboard should've come with one.

Can these drives be put in a RAID array?

The manufacturer advises against using these drives in a RAID array as the cache does not support it properly. I found this out after purchasing and had to return the drives.

Is this an effective storage drive? I have an SSD for boot and games, but I need a new storage drive.

I have a similar setup, SSD for boot drive and I use two of these in raid 0 for all my data. I play a lot of games and photography. They work very well in this configuration.

can i put 2 of these in one PC?

You can have up to 24 internal hardrives connected to 1 pc (windows 10) as long as you have the power (psu) and sata ports available on your motherboard. (Aswell as hardrive expansion space inside the case)

I need a new hard drive to run a older Dell XPS 630i , only run a few older games Company of Heroes and Flight sim  on it but always problem. would I need a new mother board as well ?  Going to install Windows 10 and start fresh maybe remove vid card(ASUS GTX750Ti) and reboot. Is SSD the way to go ?

To begin with what is the issue with the old hdd ?  The next item is will win10 work w/your current mobo, os, and the games themselves ?  Win 10 will not be friendly to older peripherals in the near future so why use it ?  Even your cpu and ram will be under scrutiny from win 10.  About the ssd, your mobo  will need to be configured in the bios ( you do have a data drive w/this I hope) to download to the correct location or else you will run out of space on your ssd, example:  twice this yr Microsoft has had 2 (count them 2) updates that are each above 10GB !!  And they NEVER STOP COMING !  Better buy a 500GB or larger ssd or just use Windows 7 (still fine into 2020).

How fast is this actually. I want to game the hell out of this hard drive. I was just going to buy this one and only put my games on it, and use my old WD blue 1tb for my windows and chrome and other stuff. Is that a good idea? And is this plug and play?

Plug and play depends on your machine’s bios. As long as it recognizes the drive it is plug and play. As for where and how you store and retrieve your software - I always keep my OS and programs on the same drive

Will two of these function properly together in one computer?  One as a the main boot drive and another the other as a storage drive?

Yes. Once you install your operating system on one of your two drives, you can fill up that main boot drive with files and other programs. With the other drive you can fill it up with other files and programs as well. it works as intended.
