Hi all, if I already have a 550w one installed in my pc can I use the same cords or do I need to switch them out for the one that comes with the 650 or higher psu?

If you are using the same brand, model line-up, and the connectors fit you don't have to change the wiring harnesses.  "Most of the time" within the same brand the pin layouts are the same for all their power supplies.

Does it come with sufficient cables to power a modern graphics card along with everything else a power supply should, well, power?

Yes. See the picture depicting what cables come with the psu. It only comes with one pcie cable for powering a graphics card though. If you’re looking to power more than one graphics card consider another power supply.

is this psu good with gtx-760sc gpu?

Yes. The 760SC wants a PSU with 500W+, so the 550 or higher will be just fine.

Question 4

With my current psu I have two case fans connected to a 4 pin molex adapter.  Where would these connect directly to the psu? What takes the place of the molex connectors?

If you look at the picture which includes the cables laid out, the 4 pin molex connector is near top left.  My fans connected up fine.  Nothing replaces the molex connectors, you simply use their attachment, which will give you 4pin out. So you only have to have as many cables as necessary in your pc's set up.  Easy, works great, and included.

Does it fit micro-atx cases?

Most micro ATX cases accept standard sized PSUs. You should check the specifications on each case to be sure.

Question 6

So the manual states you should have the vents of the PSU facing upward if running in hybrid mode; even if you have vents and a filter on the bottom? I like the idea of hybrid mode but not enough to not take advantage of the PSU facing downward to the vent and nice mesh filter of my case. Is there any drawback to going hybrid with the fan facing down?

Unless your case is planted flat on the ground without and feet, then there is no issue with the fan facing down. 99% of power supplies are setup to pull air from the fan in, and exhaust out the back. I have this PSU in hybrid mode with the fan facing down and it works great. Only uses the fan when it is needed and keeps it spinning at a nominal noise. If you don’t have feet to keep it off the ground and a ventilation holes for the fan to pull air through the case then I would strongly advise putting the fan upwards.

Is this actually the newer FOCUS-GX-650 model or is it the older Focus+ SSR-650FX model?  No, they are not the same thing.

I have a 3x4 (12) pin CPU power on my motherboard.  Does this have a cable for that?  Motherboard:  msi MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI.  I am only using 4 + 4 pin now but CPU EZ Debug LED is red.

i looked thru the manual for your board and there's nothing in there about what cpus require all 12 pins. I'm guessing if your not overclocking you dont need the extra 4 pins. I would go to the main forums and ask if your cpu should have all 12 pins all the time or only if overclocking. another good place to ask this question is overclocknet
