Actually still working, purchased 11/25/2013, this review is 07/15/2020. 7/15/2020 10:57:18 PM

Pros: -No coil whine on my unit, ran fine for my old ITX system, was running in Fractal Designs Node 304 with PSU bracket removed(from end of 2013-December till 2020-May).
-New 2020-July update, now will be transfered to a new Fractal Designs Meshify C case (when it arrives)
-Quiet fan and still blows good amount, and there is no heat coming from PSU on idle.
-Many power attachment cables for the modular wire & PSU experience.
-Mostly used as casual CS:GO gamer but with Photo Editing (Lightroom) power usage, so it's mostly not reached 80% power usage through everyday gaming or running the system on high or overclock for all 7 years ownership.

Cons: -SUPPORT- :When I called the customer support about more than 4 years ago for shorter wires for the PSU unit, they simply said there was nothing that they had for shorter wires for the PSU unit and I ended my hunt for shorter wires for my ITX box build that night. At least it was a perfect speaking human who answered my call I remembered.
-PSU PROBABLY allowed my ASRock Z87E-ITX motherboard to die from a thunderstorm strike one day in 2018. I do not know if it was through the LAN port from the modem or through the PSU lines which was directly hooked to an outlet without surge protection; the system wouldn't boot up hours later after storm,( the mobo made it look like the PSU was not giving power) PSU lived till this day though, and I still have the old ASRock board currently, searching for a tech to be able to repair it. So it has been powering an ASUS Z97I-PLUS ITX motherboard replacing the ASROCK board since until just last week.
-Wires are all flat mostly, makes folding cables for wire management a little bit tougher during the time I was not able to find a shorter wire kit (or a service to shorten wires), and kind of have to live with it until the PSU goes into a larger Mid-ATX case.
-PSU is slightly 10mm too long for my old ITX build, which I should of went with a different PSU at the time, doesn't count as an actual con though.

Overall Review: Now the PSU is powering ASUS x570 TUF Gaming Wifi motherboard that I've also bought from Newegg just last week (July 4th Sale 2020), with Ryzen 3900x CPU, and G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4133mhz and an EVGA Geforce GTX1060 SC 6GB that I'm reusing from the ITX build box.
Power delivery looks great as all the voltages are within range on the Bios screen and within HWiNFO64 v6.28-4200 and performs as expected I assume. I am a little weary coming back to the product page and seeing all these reviews of the PSU actually going dead, and I hope it's not on it's last legs, or last non-bulging capacitors that can make the PSU go caput anytime this year in 2020. I hope it will last me another 3 years to make it a great 10 year PSU workhorse. First pic attached is from July 16, 2020. 2nd pic is from June 2014 of the old ITX Node 304 build.

Great while it lasted 12/7/2018 7:13:43 PM

Pros: Platinum efficiency, other marketing jargon. Nice and quiet

Cons: none until it died suddenly after turning PC off

Overall Review: Died after 3 years. I just had to put my even older antec EA-650 in this PC (6700k/GTX 1070) that is still running strong. I bought that PSU over 7 years ago too.

No coil whine 10/5/2018 2:51:07 PM

Pros: I haven't experienced the coil whine that some of these units are supposedly afflicted with.

Enjoying the secure feeling of top notch build quality.

Cons: Edit 10/2018 unit is finally dead after 5 years.

Running great four years later 3/4/2018 6:30:12 PM

Pros: Got this for a great price, and its performed extremely well. Moved it into an older 1336 system that could peak draw 600W and its handled it fine. Fan barely runs.

Cons: Cables are all right angle so it can't easily fit any drives directly against a panel.

Quiet 12/13/2016 5:36:50 PM

Pros: Very quiet, even when fan kicks on, which has only happened during stress testing. Good quality cables.

Cons: CPU cable was a bit short, and barely reached across my ATX board.

Overall Review: SATA cables were tough to fit on the SSD-specific 2.5" brackets behind my motherboard, but someone probably makes a cable that would lay flat and work better.

Pros: -Seasonic Brand
-Fully Modular
-Reliable PSU
-Nicely Packaged

Cons: None at the moment

Overall Review: Got this PSU on sale for frond 80$ after rebate. Crazy good deal for a fully modular sea sonic plat PSU. You want a PSU to last you awhile and i'm confident this one will.

Failed after 5 months 12/2/2016 10:46:16 AM

Pros: - quiet
- modular

Cons: - failed within 5 months, tested with a PSU tester as dead
- SeaSonic RMA support is very poor

Overall Review: SeaSonic USA has a RMA department that goes to voicemail. That mailbox is full. This is not acceptable for a premium-priced piece of hardware.
Given the RMA difficulties other reviewers have had, I would recommend being careful before buying a SeaSonic product.
Buyer beware.

4 Years and still no problems 11/13/2016 4:12:01 PM

Pros: - Seasonic quality
- Fully modular

Cons: - None

Overall Review: I've had this PSU for 4 years and haven't had any issues. No noise whatsoever and if the fan has ever come on (I use hybrid mode) I've never heard it. Definitely recommend it.
