The Shure R59 Replacement Cartridge for SM58 Microphone.
CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
To install the R59 replacement cartridge in the SM58, proceed as follows:
Remove and attach the new cartridge using a soldering iron as shown in the user guide.
The GREEN wire attaches to the terminal next to the embossed plus (+) sign (or single-digit number).
NOTE: On older models, there may be a third, black wire. Connect this wire to the case ground nut between the green and yellow terminals on the cartridge.
IMPORTANT: Twist the cartridge three times counterclockwise before screwing the cartridge onto the case. This prevents strain on the wires.
