Question:  I can't tell in the pictures if the silver K-70 has the BIOS switch in back, next to the USB port, like the Gunmetal color?

Hey Charles,

To answer your question, from the view of the typist, the ready of the keyboard from left to right goes: USB Cable  -> BIOS Switch (1/2/3/4) -> USB 3.0 port. As a side note, the entire top/front of the keyboard may be brushed aluminum, however the entire back/bottom is hard black plastic. On this specific model, you have an approximate 2-4 second reboot time on the keyboard between BIOS switching.

Question 2

How are the LEDs on this keyboard compare to the black version? Because in most reviews, people said that it fails right after a day or two maybe three months of usage. Just wanna make sure before I buy it and another thing "What is the difference between Extended Replacement Plans & Accidental Replacement Plans?"

In terms of the LED, I have owned one for more than 4 months now, and have yet to experience any problems. Furthermore, there is really no difference between the LEDs between the black and silver but the colors (Red and Blue). Difference between those two plans is one is for manufacturing defects while the other is for human error while using it.

What exactly makes this keyboard so expensive? It looks fairly average at first glance.

Aside from the basic principal of supply and demand, mechanical keyboards are in demand due to their great features so the price of course would rise. Now for the unknown or less known reason for a mechanical keyboard (and an expensive one at that) is that mechanical keyboards are very user friendly. I say this in the sense that they are less a strain on your fingers. If you did not know, keyboards have been known to put a strain on your fingers after extended use and cause carpel tunnel. Well, this keyboard outs less strain on the fingers and has a wrist rest that further helps put less strain on your wrist with extended use. This keyboard is also targeted at gamers in which I am a gamer and we tend to spend long hours on the computer daily so these issues are a big thing for us so we want the best of the best and one that will last for a couple years.

The frosting on the cake is the FPS keys that help gamers locate their keys easier when in a crucial moment in the game when you don't have time to be staring at the keyboard. The backlight, material, and refreshing sound the keys make when pressed are eye candy that add to the price.

Question 4

Hey there I would love cherry mx blue switches for the clicking sound.  This keyboard says it is supposed to be mx blue, but newegg labeled this keyboard having red cherry switches.  Can anyone answer with how loud this keyboard is or what switches they are?  Thanks!

The K70 can come with Red, Blue, or Brown switches. The Black and Silver color keyboard only come with Cherry MX Reds, while the gunmetal colored keyboard comes with either Cherry MX Blue or Brown.

Anyone here plays League of Legends on this keyboard yet? If so please tell me how its feel.

I play LoL quite a bit with the keyboard and it feels amazing, the reaction time is awesome. If you are not used to a mechanical keyboard like I was when I first got this it may take a little getting used to as they are very easy to press keys and very responsive. Plus I just love the sound of a mechanical keyboard. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone!
