not sure exactly how much the device weighs but it feels like maybe  1/3rd or 1/4th of a pound.   its not light, it feels like it has some heft to it but it does not bother me.

Is this rechargeable? If so, how many times before it dies?

I've had mine since black friday and have used it regularly and the thing works great.   I have recharged it only a handful of times but it is still going for me at 8 months in if that helps.
