Silverstone's Decathalon series PSUs are designed to deliver maximum power with stark efficiency. Instead of bumping up cost and complexity by using multiple +12V rails, the DA650 has 1 extremely robust 54A rail. The Active PFC and >80% efficiency rating ensure that no power is wasted.
The power connectors are fully modular. This lets you use only the connections you need. Any extra cables can go back into the handy carry bag, so you can find them when you upgrade. The cables are all sheathed to de-clutter the inside of the case, enhancing airflow.
There is a 120mm fan on the bottom of the PSU to move extreme amounts of air to keep everything cool. The back panel is a honeycomb mesh broken only by a switch, and the power plug for virtually unrestricted airflow. Go ahead; build the system of your dreams, the DA650 can handle it.
ATX12V and EPS12V CompatibleCompatible with the ATX12V (ATX 2.2) and EPS12V standards, the Silverstone DA650 provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and server computer systems.
650W Maximum PowerA maximum power of 650W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end PC systems.
Highly EfficientDelivering more than 80% efficiency, the Silverstone DA650 power supply saves energy and may even reduce your electric bill!
Efficient CoolingA 120mm ball bearing fan plus hexagon cutouts increases overall airflow in the power supply enclosure and helps remove heat from the chassis simultaneously.
ATi CrossFire CertifiedThe Silverstone DA650 has gone through a series of rigorous ATi CrossFire certification tests for maximum system stability when building CrossFire Ready multi-video-card PCs.

Pros: As an addendum to my review below, I'd like to add that Silverstone will be sending me a new cable free of charge. Can't beat that! In addition to their fine products they seem to have a pretty well-run operation. I'll definitely be using their stuff in my future builds.
Pros: Great power supply, modular makes for a much neater and easier to work with system.
Cons: The connector releases are a bear to deal with, and in many configurations you have to remove many other cables to even reach one you may wish to remove. Seems over engineered. Simple friction should keep these cables attached short of some fictional power supply monster attack.
Pros: Built two computers, both with this PS. Both work great, no problems at all. Asus M2N-E, 6000+, HD2900XT 6 and 8 pin PCI-E power.
Cons: Cables a bit long, but thats better then being to short ;)

The PSU I was looking for8/23/2007 3:36:03 PM
Pros: Modular, long cables, 54A on the 12V rail, quiet, it's a Silverstone power supply so you know it's good.
Cons: Runs a little hot, the black sleeving only extends to the first connectors.
Overall Review: Good for my moderate build. ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2, EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 2 sticks of 1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2. All of it in an orange NZXT Apollo case.
Pros: No issues to report. The full modular cabling is awesome, the wattage is just right, and it's a highly rated PSU.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: This review was as boring as boring gets because there really isn't much to say. This thing works as advertised and I would recommend it to anyone. The one thing to consider though is that it is slightly longer than normal PSU's. It wasn't a problem in my standard mid-tower case, but could pose a concern to others.
Pros: It works well, has powered Quads Duos, GTS's, GTX's and a 1GB Pro also lotsa fans, 3 HDD and 2 opticals.
Cons: It wasn't free and came with no busty blonde for LAN party entertainment.
Overall Review: Buy one, you wont regret it.
