are the SATA connections standard size or do you need an adapter?

So there's actually just one input port on the drive...the single cable it comes with (which plugs into that input) splits into a Molex cable for power and a standard SATA cable for data. As long as you have a power supply that has Molex cables, or a Molex adapter, you should be good. Word of caution--the drive's Molex connector only uses 2 of the 4 pins and mine were a bit janky, so it can be a bit of a chore connecting it with your power supply cable.
