Silverstone's Olympia series PSUs are designed to deliver maximum power with stark simplicity. Instead of bumping up the cost and complexity by using multiple +12V rails the OP1000-E has 1 extremely robust 80A rail. The Active PFC and >80% efficiency rating ensure no power is wasted.
It is CrossFire X Certified with 6x6-pin and 2x8-pin PCIe connectors. There are also 6 SATA connectors for all of your high speed drives. The cables are partially mesh sleeved to increase air flow and to make management easier.
1000W Maximum PowerA maximum power of 1000W delivers safe, reliable output for even the most extreme computer systems.
Highly EfficientDelivering more than 80% efficiency, the Silverstone OP1000-E power supply saves energy and may even reduce your electric bill!
Efficient CoolingA 120mm ball bearing fan plus hexagon cutouts increases overall airflow in the power supply enclosure and helps remove heat from the chassis simultaneously.
Supports Three VGA Card SystemFeaturing two 8-pin and six 6-pin PCIe connectors, the Silverstone OP1000-E supports up to three high-end graphics cards for extreme gaming systems.
1 x 24Pin motherboard connector (550mm) 1 x 8Pin EPS12V connector (550mm) 1 x 4Pin ATX12V connector (550mm) 2 x 8Pin PCI-E connector (550mm) 6 x 6Pin PCI-E connector (550mm) 2 x triple SATA connector (500mm +250mm + 250mm) 3 x Dual 4Pin IDE & single floppy power connectors (500mm + 250mm + 150mm)

Bad Power Supply, Poor Support.3/28/2009 2:52:33 PM
Pros: None
Cons: Died within a minute of turning it on. Digital Doctor 5 shows 12v rail is totally unstable (swings from .5v to 20v without warning). Fried a motherboard, hard drive, and video card.
Sent the bad unit in for RMA, received a 'replacement' from Silverstone. The replacement was scratched and dinged. It did not work *AT ALL* from the start, and exhibited similar behavior to the one I got initially.
Overall Review: This was my first Silverstone purchase, and it is also my last. I will never purchase from a company that sends bad units as replacements. I've now been without my own computer at home for a month, and am having to wait even longer.
Manufacturer Response:
Thank you very much for purchasing a SilverStone. Please note that OP1000-E has independent ground design so voltage measurements must be taken with this in consideration. We have a detailed explanation at our Q&A page in the below link:
http://www.silverstonetek.com/qa/qa_contents.php?pno=OP1000-E&area=usa
We do not recommend powering up this power supply and connecting to other components by shorting the ground for +5V/+3.3V and power from the +12V.
Cons: The cooling fan in the PS stopped working or never worked. My PC would shut down randomly under load and I could not figure out why. I finally happened to open my case and touched the PS and found it extremely hot. I looked into the PS from the bottom and found that the fan was not turning.

Pros: This is a great buy for those of you running the GTX260,280,285, and the 295s in your computer, because of the single 12v rail at 80A you can go to 3 GTX 260s or 2 GTX 280s,285s, and 295s, you will need a 1400W or higher power supply to run 3 GTX 280s,285s,and 295s because they each require 40A from the power supply and 80A will only power 2 perfectly, if you decide to run 3 on this power supply you will be shorting the cards out on power and not getting the full potential.
Cons: made for full size cases, but can be used in the smaller ones, just have to tuck the long wires.
Overall Review: the GTX 260 and 285 both have TWO 6 pin connectors.... the GTX 280 and 295 both have ONE 6 pin connector and ONE 8 pin connector, note: this power supply only has TWO 8 pin connections, so running 2 of those is fine and will run perfectly., you can however run THREE GTX 260s because the Ampree is lower and this will power it and connect to it, but the 285 even though it will connect to it, it wont have enough Ampree to run all THREE. so its not a good idea.
Pros: 1,000 watts on a single 80A rail. Active PFC lets you have steady voltages for your computer. I plan on running a 3 EVGA GTX 260 SSC sli system and this has all the power you I ever need. 4 PCIE 6-pin and 2 PCIE 8 pin. 24 pin ATX cable and 8 pin cable are long did not have to use any extension cables for the 24 or the 8 pin in my Rocketfish Full tower case (Lian style) and plenty to spare. Previous power supply i needed to use extensions throughout the case (Ultra x2 750 watt dual 25amp rails). This thing has been perfect for my setup. 14 gauge power wire included (extremely heavy duty). You can jump start a car with this thing.
Pros: This is a great power supply. It comes with plenty of cable choices. Plus the cables are longer than most power supplies so you won't have any trouble reaching your devices. I upgraded because I went SLI and needed the power. With the single rail you wont have to worry about maxing out your amps.
Cons: Nothing to note

Pros: Extremely quiet, extremely stable.. my Q6700 is overclocked to 3.8GHz at 1.5v, and the voltage never fluctates at all, and priced right.
Cons: It's not modular.
Overall Review: Fits perfect in my TJ07.
If costs are not a concern, go for the ZM1200, you will be hard pressed to find a better PSU than that one.
