If I need to eject a disc, how would I do so? I don't see any physical buttons.

For this slim slot loading optical drive you would need to eject the disk from the operating system (i.e. right-click device and select eject). The exact size that is compatible with this is approximately 9.5mm. Any larger would be forcing it into the tray (which doesn't bend easily). Also keep in mind that the exact height of the bottom bay is 23mm minus 2mm due to slight bevels on the hard drive mounting points on the bottom and ceiling of the hard drive bay (2 HDD/SSD's are mounted upside down). Which would leave only 21mm of space. A tight fit for hard drives that are 10mm each. It is not possible to mount anything other that the optical drive in the optical drive bay.

What is the maximum height for 2.5" slots?

The hard drives on this bracket mount in an unusual way, the top section is reserved solely for the slim slot drive, while the under section mounts drive on the bottom of the bracket and UNDER the middle plate so you can have up to four drives in the bottom area. You can fit four 9.5mm drives with not a mm to spare (but still not touching), lest you start forcing the hard drives to fit. The mounting area seems a little bigger than 19mm's but note that the bottom drives sit on raised bevels preventing full contact with the bracket taking away 1mm of space. And dont think you can fit any drives under the slim slot unless you have a 3mm drive that no one knew existed!
