Will this system chime when a window or door sensor is activated when you are home so that you know someone opened a door or window?

It responds depending on what mode it is set to - if it's set to "Armed", then it will trigger any time a sensor triggers. There is also a "Home" mode, which allows you to designate certain sensors to either activate or not. I.E. You can set the front door to NOT trigger, but still have all the windows triggered, etc.
