As far as I know,if they have a plain surface all of them are if you have a lite-scribe burner. Why mess with scribe when you can buy Jenco-Labels by the 100 for less than $17.00? That is if you have a printer or a printer that prints labels on paper surface dvd or cd`s. Scribe takes forever and the other is now you got it! I have never used mine and have had it for years........

Do these DVDs have a solid white printable face?

Hello,
No these are not printable discs. They are what is called branded with the Sony name and description. I will say these are extremely reliable discs as I have used hundreds of the with zero bad writes due to disc failure. Printable discs will have that in the description by the seller.

What is the media code of these discs? The media code tells you exactly who manufactures the DVD media. Some examples are: RitekF1, MCC004-000, MBIPG101-R05, CMCMAG-AM3, AML003-000, et al. It is important because it lets you know what what you are buying regardless of brand. It cannot be found on the disc packaging, it must be scanned from an actual disc using a utility like DVDidentifier or Nero DiscSpeed.
