do you notice any hesitation at shutter release button to exposure?

I am kind of new to photography, so I might not be an expert, but I'll try to answer this question the best I can for you. You push the shutter, and the hesitation seems absolutely normal to me. The hesitation is about the length of a blink of an eye before the image appears in the display screen. It doesn't really hamper anything, though, and the colors and clarity of the images on this Sony are amazing, and way better than the Nikons, Canons, and Pentaxes in the same price range. I don't know if I'm hallucinating, but it actually seems better than the Canon Mark iii that is $3,000. Totally worth it for the price, in my opinion. This camera is a total hidden gem in my opinion.

I have all Apple products
How do I transfer pics to phone pad or mac ?

The only Apple product I have is a MacBook Pro. However, to transfer pictures to it, it is as easy as you'd imagine, and the same as for any other laptop out there. You just hook up a USB cable from the camera to the laptop, and it automatically uploads the photos (which look beautiful, I might add). They automatically open through iPhoto, and you just "agree" to upload them. According to that logic, I believe this camera is as compatible with the other Mac products as any camera out there. I guess I'm not sure about the iPad and the iPhone, but my guess is that it's as easy as the MacBook Pro. I guess you could call Sony if you're still worried. I think just having the USB cable is the key here, which comes with it. This camera is awesome, by the way, and I believe the best camera in this price range. I though it was better than the Nikons or Canons. I sort of thought it was better pictures than the Canon Mark iii, that costs thousands of $$$. I truly think this camera is a score. Highly recommend.

It does have a pop up flash as well as an area to add an external flash.

does the sony slk a58 record movies with sound?

Sorry I can't answer your question. I have not used that feature yet.  I do like my new Sony, but I find I would like to have a lens that is more then 55mm for long distance.

will it handle e-mount lens ?

It is an alpha, which means it has an A mount. They make adapters for other lens mounts (even other manufacturers) but without the adapter, the camera only accepts A mount lenses.
