This little palm-sized camcorder has a single button to switch between standard 4:3 video or 16:9, can take still shots on Memory Stick Duo media, as well as video on its internal 30GB hard drive. Depending on image quality, you can record up to 20 hours of video on the hard drive!
Aren't hard drives unsafe? Not this one: it has a fall sensor. When it senses a drop, it shuts off the drive, but keeps recording. When the drive is safe again, a video memory buffer gets written to the drive as if there'd never been a pause. It also has Sony’s Super SteadyShot picture stabilization system for a smoother picture even when not using a tripod.
It has a 25X optical zoom, and the digital zoom can go as high as 2000X! Automatic white balancing indoors (one button balancing outdoors) keeps your colors accurate, and it can record in as little as 4 lux (about the same as four candles lighting the scene) or 0 lux if using the infrared capabilities.
