Based on the one review and lack of response, I won't be buying from Breed. Will you?

Hi, I'm the one who left that review on this product listing. I'd recommend avoiding Breed, since apparently this seller does not do adequate quality control checks on the used merchandise they are selling. Contacting T-Mobile to check their blacklist, or popping in a SIM card for another GSM carrier could've revealed this problem easily - but either that wasn't done or they sold merchandise hoping the customer would just accept the problem and not seek resolution.

To be fair, Breed did issue me a prepaid return label, process the return, and issue me a full refund. But all the hassle, disappointment, and wasted time made it feel insufficient in some ways. I'm now reluctant to buy used electronics on Newegg because they're trusting 3rd parties to just do good business. After this disaster, I turned to Gazelle, a site which I've found in the past to be a reliable place to buy used electronics.

Newegg is still good for shopping for (or finding to search up on other sites) new items that meet desired specifications. But since they're not doing a great quality control job with their third-party sellers, I'm no longer inclined to bother with Newegg for used electronics.

What is the condition of the battery?  Is it new or above 95% life?
