A Bit About Spyderco
Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. Initially, the company focused on selling our first product — the Tri-Angle Sharpmaker— primarily at fairs and trade shows around the country in their Bread Truck. In 1981, the Glessers put down roots in Golden, Colorado and introduced the first Spyderco folding knife. That knife pioneered the concept of a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for carrying at the top of the pocket, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting performance. Those features revolutionized the knife industry and literally defined the form of the modern folding knife.

Salt 2
Other Knives can rust in peace
Although the Salt 1 earned an extremely devoted following, since it was based on the third-generation Delica, it lacked some of the design improvements that make the Delica 4 even better. So, consistent with our obsession with Constant Quality Improvement (C.Q.I.), we revamped the design to create the Salt 2. It combines all the salient features of the Delica 4 Lightweight model with the corrosion-resistant advantages of H-1 steel.
The Pacific Salt 2 includes a high-traction Bi-Directional Texture pattern, enhanced handle ergonomics, and a versatile four-position pocket clip. In addition to these features, this knife integrates an H-1 blade with a linerless handle in a shining example of our passion for Constant Quality Improvement (C.Q.I.). This knife was born to perform in and around the water.
