Just double checking but do both of the bays connect the hard-drive to computer or does one bay only have the SATA connector (I would like to clone a hdd)?

Both bays have SATA connections. Both drives will be seen by your computer when connected to USB. If you connect to this dock through eSATA, you may not see both drives due to the capabilties of the eSATA port on your computer. This dock does not have the capability to directly clone one drive to another. Try Macrium Reflect Free to store an image of the drive and then image the new drive.

What is the maximum storage capacity this docking station can handle?
