Yes it will. The UASP will add the functionality of being able to remove and add drives without dismounting what's already there.

I honestly can't say anything about the RAID issue except that over a 3.0 line it would be tons slower that on the mobo. My application is data storage and I think it does a great job working with all 4 HDD grinding out the bits. Transfer between the drives in the dock seems really fast and I've had no problems with errors. Heck I've got no issues with this Dock at all. The fans do wonders at keeping things cool. I even have the Startech IDE adapter that I use with old drives just for backups of backups. Remember redundancy is an imperative in the data game....
