does this fit a dell inspiron 530s?

From the manual of the 530s it seems like that computer takes 1/2 height cards.  This network card includes a 1/2 height bracket that can be swapped out for the full height one.  Then it should fit in the 530s.

want to upgrade my Gateway 838GM desktop to run gigabit Ethernet. It has two PCI ports and one PCI Express.  The PCI Express is being used by my graphic card.  I am looking at the picture and it shows two openings on the edge connector. My connector only has one. Will they be compatible?

Yes, the fact that the card has two notches and the slot only has one should not effect its functionality.  All regular PCI slots have one notch and I used this product in mine until I did a rebuild wuth a motherboard that had onboard gigabit ethernet.  I still use this in my media server.

I looked your PC up and this one will not fit.  If the motherboard I'm looking at on the HP site is the same one in your PC, it doesn't have a PCI slot,  Try this one instead.  Search for TP-LINK TG-3468 Network Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45 in Newegg's search.

Yes but why would tou buy a 10/100 NIC? Buy a Gigabit NIC the 10/100 is very old technology and Gigabit is 1000 as opposed to 100 (10 times faster) hope this helps

Not sure if it "comes with w7 driver" but, windows 7 should search for and istall driver for you.

Yes, each network adapter card has an associated MAC address. It is printed on a sticker somewhere on the board. It looks like this:

00-14-22-01-23-45

Of course your numbers wil vary. The MAC is a unique identifier.

Does this have Windows 10 64 bit support?

Should work perfectly fine in Windows 10 64-bit. This card uses a realtek chip, which Windows has drivers for. It says it supports older versions, but those are the ones that can be iffy with support.

Is anyone using this adapter with windows 8? My upgrade from XP has been a mess. My current Linksys 10/100 adapter worked fine with XP but Win 8 won't plugnplay it and Linksys site doesn't list win 8 drivers for it
