Will both a device plugged into the USB pass through port AND the Ethernet Adapter be operational after Windows 7 boots from a cold start? (With my HooToo HT-UE01 which uses the same AX88719 chip, if I have certain USB devices plugged in its USB Hub port, that device will be operational at power up but the Ethernet Adapter is not until I unplug it from the USB port and plug it back in.)

Keith, While I don't have a win 7 machine to test with it does survive reboots on a Win 8.1 box. If I can run down a win 7 box and test I will send an update.

Question 4

We bought one for the office in hopes that it would work with Linux like your page stated. However it did not work with Linux. It worked with Windows only and nothing else. Could you advise on one that would work with Linux/BSD? Thank you.

Hi Jerry,

Depending on which *nix version you are using, you will likely need to compile the driver and then load the kernel module. It is compatible with Linux/BSD, but not immediately out of the box. The chipset used in this is the AX88179. You can find several forum posts on where and how to compile the necessary driver that you need. This is going to be true of most of this type of device, since many of them are based on the same chipset.
