I honestly do not remember because when I bought this I was building multiple servers, but the places you will want to look are 1)Crucial website (Micron) - they guarantee to give you a match - and then you can come back to Newegg and buy the memory they recommend by SKU, 2) Intel's website for some info on compatibility with the C202 chipset, and even better, SuperMicro's website. They have great documentation - just google SuperMicro and MBD-X9SCL+-F and you will get a part of their website dedicated to hardware compatibility for this motherboard.  Remember to also make sure  you you are compatible in terms of unbuffered vs. registered memory, and also the layout / capacity of memory you can use (the manuals on the SuperMicro website will give you the exact rules).
