Is the OS able to see each drive or just the complete raid?

This card is equipped with the four selector switches on the card (as seen in the picture. rear facing). these switches allow this card to be configured in multiple raid configs as well as a port multiplayer. In the port multiplayer config the os sees 5 sata 3gb ports over 1 pci lain.

Is 64bit XP supported?

This device is OS independent and will work on any system that currently has a working SATA interface, including 64 bit XP. You need to already have a SATA controller.

Are there HDD activity lights or headers for each drive?

There are activity lights for each drive (red for power, blue for access) but no headers. Headers wouldn't be too hard to install, though.

Is this be used for raid and just a normal sata controller?

Yes but I would go towards a real raid card I bout it to make a 20 terabyte and ended up leaving this on the shelf and used zfs with freenas. For home use it might be ok but didn't seem to work well and no rebuild utility or warning if a drive is failing

does this devce work well with windows 10 ?
