Why is this model higher price than the white model?  Does it have any additional features or is it just the colour?

It is more expensive because it is stainless steel. I think all other features are same and either model would be fine as far as its function is concerned. I have been using Tatung Rice Cooker for over 40 years and so I would have thought that the price would be quite low. But t is what it is. One can expect 10 to 15 years of trouble-free service from the rice cooker.

The answer is partly yes. The actual cooking of rice is done by the water you put in the bowl. The water we put outside is very little and may have 2 purposes. First and foremost, it is used as steam which actually helps the rice to be cooked in a non sticky and fluffy way. Second might be to keep the surface of the steel bowl with the cooker even. Since the steel bowl comes in contact with the steel cooker, I felt that it is helping avoid getting corroded. Very nicely designed. I bought this cooker and been using everyday for about 5 months. The rice cooks perfectly each and every time. No worries of over cooking or under cooking. Cleaning is easy too. Generally I do not give reviews. But this is a great investment and perhaps the best rice cooker I ever bought.

If regular right bowl,  you can easily service 6.  Probably get 8-10 bowls with max capacity. We love this rice cooker.   Better than many expensive Japanese rice cookers.

Voltage 110V or 220V? Suitable for use in Singapore?

This is 110v suitable for US regions. It may not work directly in Singapore. A use of converter may help, but I personally would not use a convertor for an appliance if used daily.

No, this is the model designed to be used in USA or Taiwan.  You need  the converter to use it in other countries with 220 Volts.

Is the outside stainless steel for this model?

I don't know for sure.  I bought two of this model more than two years ago, I am quite happy about them.  I use both of them for making rice and steaming vegetables everyday.  The outside is not rusty, it seems like stainless steel.

Does the cooker automatically switch to "warm" when done cooking? I've read no, but some reviews make it sound like it switches to "warm" automatically.

Follow-up, if you have the keep warm switched on while you are cooking, will it just go ahead and keep it warm when it is done cooking, or must you wait until it is finished cooking to flip the warm witch on?

The warm function is a manual switch that can be turned on anytime before, during or after cooking and will stay on until you turn it off.

It does not say. However, it is very easy to rust. Also, it's kind flimsy
