It didn't show on the cooker and I don't have box. I guess is China but it's normal everything was made in China. So we only can trust where is the brand from. This is Taiwanese brand but this is a old model that not so functional

can you cook dry beans on the Electric Rice Cooker? and if you can, how do they come out?

If you have been able to cook beans with other rice cookers successfully then they should but I use slow cookers to cook dry beans and cannot imagine being able to.  With rice cookers when you start the cooking process in about 20 minute3s it shuts off the cooking process then just warms.  We bought this rice cooker and love it for rice.  We have a more expensive rice cooker and bought this as a backup but after using it once to test it we now use it exclusively and have for several months and we cook rice about every other day.  Very good cooker for price

Will you able to detach lid and clean?

no.  the lid cant unattached.  i use wet sponge clean the lid slowly.   the air vent on the cover will fall of while the lid opens.  not recommend this product.

It is a non stick surface it looks to me to be teflon but without actual specs I can just say is non stick
