Is the inner cover stainless steel or aluminum?

The inside container where the rice is cooking is stainless steel.  The is the reason I got it.  My old one was teflon coated and didn't last long.  This appears to be restaurant grade stainless steel.  Even if you overcook the rice and it sticks, you can pour in some white vinegar after washing and it looks brand new.

Non sticky. Sticky happens when it is too little or too much of water.

No, also the rice cooker can not keep it in warm. It will burn your rice .

My family has been using Tatung rick cookers since 1980's. They are great, particularly its low prices. It is made in China (nothing wrong on it).

Expected to pay at least 5 times more if it were made in USA. Very simple decision to made. In fact, none of rick cookers on market is made in USA.

BTW, Tatung rick cookers do not have sandwiched cooking problem. Rice and water ratio in instruction manual is only as a general guide. Have to practice it by adjusting amount of water. It also depend on whether the rice was a winter or summer harvest.

My family eats rice everyday (Chinese). Rice is our main food and we are happy with the Tatung cookers.

Nope, just warm and cook two positions. No timer.

The inner of the lid is metal but not stainless.

About 20. But do not eat the cooked rice right away. Let it warm for 20 more minutes in the cooker for better taste.

Also, do not try to open the lid before it is cooked.
