Is the inner pot aluminum?

This rice cooker has a pot that looks like "light and thin aluminum." My only problem is that it is very small than pictured.

What is the minimum amount of rice this unit can cook?

It should be able to handle one cup as minimum. We have used as low as two cups without any difficulties. Hope this helps.
