Question 1

I have a Dell XPS 8300, wondering 2 things:
a) Is this memory compatible?
b) Do the sticks need to be inserted as pairs?

My current memory specs that came stock with the system are as follows:

2048MBx4 DDR3-SDRAM (1333 MHz)
[Samsung Part #M378B5673FH0-CH9]
8MB of 32MB available.

The final question I would be wondering is with 4 sticks, are any free slots available?  Not sure I want to open it up and look as it has a sticker claiming that will void the warranty.

Hi Drew,
There are no more than 4 slots slots of RAM. I have yet to see a consumer-grade computer use more than 4 slots of RAM. So, no; there are not any available slots. Generally speaking, this RAM would be compatible, however, since your RAM is shared, you would want to buy it in pairs. Theoretically speaking; let's just say you bought two sticks of this RAM and replaced only two sticks of the Dell RAM, this RAM would then not be compatible because the Dell RAM runs at both a different speed (1333 MHz vs the Team's 1600 MHz), and at different timings and voltages. In short, if you were to do anything in terms of upgrading, I would highly advise you to remove all of the Dell RAM and start with one or two sticks of this RAM to avoid any compatibility issues. Also, if you have Windows 7 Home Premium, you will only be able to support 16 GB of RAM, however, if you have Windows 7 Professional, you should be able to support 32 GB Hope I was able to help without confusing you too much! is it compatible with the gateway sx2850-10?

yes but there is better mem for a better price right now if you dont mind doing two sticks timing wise its not really that great in theory (weather you see any preformence difference is kinda iffy) but yea any 12800 or10600 240 pin should be fine

Question 3

I recently bought the Team Elite Plus model of this stick with the same specs, planning to buy a second one this week. Well the Elite Plus model is sold out haha. Since they both have the same specs from the same company, can I utilize both together?

Yes. The plus just has a slightly better heat sink.  They are the exact same on the inside with the same pins, latency, voltage, and timing. 
You will not notice any difference in speed, quality, or usage if you use this with the elite plus
