Are the aluminum wings removable? The case looks cool but it seems they would get in the way.

Question 2

How to use the docking station?

Please give a little more instruction on how to use the "top of the case" docking station with hot swap-able drive. I have the case. I tried with the little instruction available from the document. I am not able to make it works. At BIOS level, it does see the drive on the dock. Help!

1.  OS  ??  Won't work w/ XP very well . . W7 - your BIOS SATA EMULATION ( or term(s) similar to that ) needs to be ACHI - -not
IDE or LEGACY - - - if you've already installed your OS your basically
screwed, since if you change it to ACHI after installing the OS, it
will BSOD, guaranteed.  Reformat / Install time . . . .

2. Don't know your MB make/model , but I always use a 6GB SATA port ( some INTEL Z77 series and below still have 3GB ports ), but
that would not keep it from working AND as you said, the drive is
recognized in BIOS, so it plugged correctly there . . . . .

So, to the best of my knowledge, that only leaves the SATA setting or the dock itself is faulty . . not to insult your savvy or anything, but is the drive in the bay formatted ??  If it isn't formatted, Windows would not recognize the drive ( i.e. drive letter ) until it has been formatted.  Again, not to insult, ( for W7)
CONTROL PANEL > ADMIN TOOLS > COMP MANAGEMENT > DISK MANAGEMENT - - - The drive would show up as DISK "X" and as unallocated space . . proceed to format and assign drive letter/name of your choosing - - would also highly suggest using only "simple/basic volume" as volume type for now . . .

Hope this helps - - can't think of anything else . . . .but there is a way to change to ACHI ( I've never used it, so I can't say for sure if it works ) if you are so inclined, on the Windows Seven forum ( NE won't allow links ?? )

What case fan would you reccomend to match the stock fan that alrighty comes with the case?

It depends on how much power (total heat) your system consumes. The two primary users of power are your cpu (84-150 watts) and your graphics  card(s) which can generate 100 watts at idle to over 300 watts at full load. Check out Tom's Hardware for charts. The simple answer is any "brand name" case fan should be sufficient. Just stick with Thermaltake AF0032 for about $12.00 or equivalent. Look for "low noise"

Question 4

A few things. I have the Raidmax Atx-248NWU and am having trouble keeping my cpu cool. Here's my build to give you an idea of what I'm running. I need my video card to fit and the whole thing to keep nice and cool. (Note: it is overheating all the time to the point where i have to take the side panel off to keep it cool. Also, the fans are noisy and running 24/7 with this case)

Joel, I use water cooling with both my Thermaltake cases. they both accomodate large video cards and several large fans 140 to 200mm which move a lot of air. I happen to use Corsair water cooling and it keeps the temps down fine. You basically want the air flow up back and out and clean the dust often as it makes a huge difference. I overclock my intel cpus with no problem. Your cpu coolor is not going to keep your cpu cool unless your system is at idle if your lucky. This case can take both regular cooling and liquid cooling its set up for both. Good luck. Hope I helped. Joe

It will, the case comes with the pieces installed for an ATX, however you just need to remove and chage them around to fit the mini-ATX.
