ive currently got a EVGA 600w 80+ Silver psu in my pc and my friend wants me to build his since he doesnt know anything about it and i was wondering if thermaltake is a good brand and wont blow anything, its going to have a ASRock Rx570 8gb gpu and a i5-4590 cpu?

Never cheap out on your PSU unless you're okay with some of your parts potentially getting fried. If you are using any kind of recent graphics card capable of running modern AAA titles on Ultra settings, then you need a minimum of 550w. with at least 40amps on your 12v rail. I'm running a build with a Ryzen 5 3600, 2 m.2 SSDs, 16 gb RAM running on XMP profile @ 1.35v and that same exact asrock Phantom D OC RX570 8GB. I originally ordered a corsair 450w CV series PSU, but it would just crash at random maybe once a day or every other day, with no rhyme or reason. Under load or idle didn't seem to matter. But anyway. I have determined that for the most part, a PC without a dedicated gpu, or without a powerful one, only needs a tiny power supply of good quality. If i were using an APU and didn't have a GPU, then that 450w Corsair would have been perfect. But this RX570 can draw up to 170 watts under load with a mild OC.
