Has anyone used this with an 8TB HD?

I used this with an 8TB hard drive that I pulled out of a Seagate external enclosure. I switched to this enclosure because I was encountering errors when copying large amounts of data to the drive (1.5+ TB), but unfortunately switching enclosures did not help. The issue could have been related to the laptop I was using at the time, as the hard drive now works fine as an internal hard drive in my desktop computer.

What are the physical USB connection types on both ends of the included cable? My computer only has the standard USB - A connectors

The USB 3.0 connection on the included cable is backward-compatible with standard USB 2.0 connectors. This means you can use the USB 3.0 cable with a standard USB-A connector on your computer.
