The Toughpower W0132RU is compatible with dual core CPU, quad core CPU, NVIDIA SLI, Quad SLI and ATI CrossFire technologies, with three 6-pin and three 8-pin (downward compatible with 6-pin PCI-E connectors) PCI-E connectors that allow connectivity to multiple graphic cards. The efficient Modularized Cable Management system eliminates wire clutter and enhances airflow for cooling. The 14 cm ball-bearing fan that reduces hot spots, offers excellent, quiet cooling.

In addition, the Toughpower W0132RU uses industrial grade components with Independent Voltage Circuits for stable and unflappable output, and protection against potential voltage surges. Reliability is ensured with the MTBF of more than 120,000 hours, and it's virtually immune to over voltage, over current, and potential short-circuits.

This thing is still a beast after 10 years! 4/16/2018 9:15:46 AM

Pros: This unit is in my 2nd build, which is actually just a massive upgrade of a well known OEM machine. It is a bit snug, but still managed to fit in with at least a little room for cable management.

Cons: The large size, while suited to deliver massive amounts of power (for it's time), doesn't work well in small builds.

Overall Review: In the 10+ years I've owned it, I have only heard the fan kick on once and that was only for about 10 seconds. I'm not sure if it is a defect or if a possible hardware issue. It is finally starting to show signs of stress, due to possible overheating, including a very minor electrical smell, which I am monitoring VERY closely and have a backup PSU ready in case she finally gives up the ghost. I would buy it's current predecessor in a heartbeat, as this PSU has gone well above and beyond it's price and value.

Amazing 1/5/2014 1:30:20 PM

Pros: I bought this on 9/9/2007 and it is still running strong.

Currently using to power a GIGABYTE GV-N780GHZ-3GD GeForce GTX 780 , i7-2600k overclocked to 4.0 , 2 ssd and 2 hard drives with no issues as of yet.

Cons: lol none.

Overall Review: If this thing dies tomorrow its still the money I have ever spent on a computer part and I will be looking at the current 1000w Thermaltake Toughpower and going with that.

Very well built - Owned since 10/2007 2/29/2012 10:05:15 AM

Comments: Would be nice if it was 100% modular.
It's expensive, but worth every penny. I paid $329 back in 2007 from Newegg.

CAUGHT ON FIRE! Thermaltake didn't care! 10/20/2011 1:30:15 PM

Pros: When catches on fire it is highly noticeable. Burnt electronic smell is very distinct!

Cons: Worked for under a year. When it died, it sent a strong surge that killed 2 hard drives, drive backplane, raid controller, and a fan; then it decided to catch on fire. Thermaltake wouldn't replace, service, or even discount on another unit. I offered it up to them so they could understand why it occurred and prevent it in future products. They didn't want it and could careless that it killed as much hardware as it did. I will never buy another one of their products!

Overall Review: I purchased CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-1000HX and LOVE IT! It is even more quite.

In for the Long Haul...Keeps on Truckin' 11/26/2010 2:34:00 PM

Pros: I've owned this for about 2 years now. Never one problem or hangup. Works like none I've ever owned.

I also own a 600W and like a 400 W,,, I sold those and those people on E-Auction site are still happy. That's after I rode them long and hard for what it's worth.

Cons: pricey, but I'll get over that.

Overall Review: As it is pricey, it is worth the money.

those getting bad ones, sorry. I find this to be an absolute necessity to my rendering workstation.
Hope Thermaltake is taking care of your needs. at this price, they should be right on it.

So far so good 4/27/2010 12:06:10 AM

Pros: This has to be the nicest power supply I have every owned.
Due to its modular design, the only have the cords int the case are the ones that are being used. Hooked up a ATI FireGL 8600 without any problems.
Some of the criticisms of the other reviews I would consider minor.
- The silicone gasket was easy to install.
- The restarting function pauses the power supply for about 5-10 seconds in the power off state before delivering power again to the motherboard.

A simple velcro pouch is provided to keep all you cables that you do not use, so you can find them if you need them at a later time.

Cons: None
