Pros: it housed my hardware.

Cons: stamped standoffs, one of which was not crowned off and i was worried about motherboard components shorting out. i glued red insulated standoff washers on to fix the issue. the case comes with a single standoff mounted that is a non standard size. it is also non-threaded. the two fan cutouts in the top of the case are too close to the motherboard to utilize standard 120mm fans. the optical bays do not allow positioning the drives out from the front bezel at all. also when attaching the optical drives from the back side of the case you have to crush in a double wall to get it tight.

Overall Review: no way this case is worth $40 (if i get the rebate). i will not purchase this model again. spend another $20 and get an antec 300. barely good enough (with some modding) for my mother in laws email / bill paying build.

Pros: The Thermaltake V4 Case is a good case for its price provided that you've purchased it for no more than $40. The case is capable of holding many fans, (3-5 I think) and has many mesh openings for great airflow/ventilation/cooling. Moreover, the case is very light which means there's little chance for damage when shipping. To summarize: -Cheap -POTENTIAL for great airflow -light

Cons: I'll start with the smallest con and work towards the more important ones. The case is light and flimsy making it prone to damage from drops. (will most likely not be able to protect hardware inside from a 3 feet drop) The case lacks air filters. There is only one air filter on the bottom for the PSU. I suggest buying at least one air filter for your intake fan at the front. (The case does not come with a fan in the front) Not water-cooling friendly. The case has little room for any radiators once the motherboard and other internal hardware is put in place. Large radiators must be mounted on the outside of the case. (I do not recommend water cooling on this case.) The case has no cable management. The space behind the motherboard stand does not have enough room to run most wires and the case DOES NOT COME WITH CABLE MANAGEMENT GEAR (zip ties, clips, ect.) Origami cable management is needed to make this case neat and safe. Don't be fooled!! The case will not be able to optimally fit standard sized 120mm x 120mm x 25mm case fans once all internal hardware is put in place. In order to fit standard 120mm fans you must know specific sizes of all your internal hardware most importantly your CPU cooler because a normal size to large cooler/radiator will render the top two mesh openings useless. There is always an option of mounting the fans on the outside of the case, but that makes your case look like a joke. If you want to be on the safe side buy fans with dimensions no larger than: 120mm x 120mm x 15mm To summarize the cons: -prone to damage -lacks air filters -not water-cooling friendly -No cable management -Hard to fit case fans

Overall Review: Despite it's cons the case is great for a cheap gaming rig provided that you have fit case fans to cool hardware. -Air filters and extra fans are a must on this case -Buy things to tie down cables for cable management

Pros: Black exterior/interior. Cute little window. Roomy considering small size for a mid tower. Provisions for additional cooling, and good air flow.

Cons: Everything stated in previous reviews is correct. One or both top fan mounts are gonna be a no-go for most set-ups. Handle it with kid gloves or you will dent or scratch it. The metal tines that hold the front panel on are stronger than the plastic they are bolted into, yank off the front panel and you will break them off. No room behind motherboard, barely enough to route the front panel connectors.

Overall Review: I got this case for $35 utilizing combo deal and discount + free shipping. At that price, it is well worth it (in a budget build where every dollar counts). At $50, there are better options. I read all the reviews beforehand, and was ready for the drawbacks. How to be happy with this case: 1) Be careful with it, it will break or bend if you get too rough. 2) Replace the included fan, and make sure to get a good intake fan as well. 3) Take the tool-less drive gizmos and throw them away, use screws. 4) If you have any hope of using a bottom intake fan, get a modular power supply. 5) Build slowly and carefully, use alot of zip-ties for a clean end product with good airflow. 6) Unscrew those front panel metal clips, don't just pull. 7) To mount a micro-atx properly, you have the raised motherboard standoffs, one pre-installed spacer piece (thats all it is, it just is a spacer with a post that goes through the center hole), and need to use two included motherboard screw-in standoffs.

Pros: Its black. Its the kids pc case so I don't have to look at it. The picts of this case looked great.

Cons: Says will hold 5 120mm fans... Doesn't say you need the 15mm thick ones. ONLY places for 120mm(25mm thick) fans is the one pre-installed and the side.

Overall Review: Went for a cheap case for the kids... Carefull what you wish for.

Pros: Light and with good ventillation

Cons: Standard 120mm case fans are 120mm x 25mm and this makes life miserable for memory tabs and even some CPU coolers. The solution is to buy 120mm x 20mm fans they are just narrow enough to make things fit.

Overall Review: Unfortunetly I haven't found any 120mm x 20mm thick fans at newegg, instead I had to shop FrozenCPU. They only have one brand that thin: Yate Loon 120mm x 20mm Slim Fan and they come in low and medium speed no high speed but that's ok heat rises anyway right?

Pros: Lightweight, nicely painted, plenty of places to mount large fans, a few air filters, "high heel" feet, nice appearance, a place to mount a GPU fan, equipped fan is quiet, came with some black screws, and just barely enough room to hide cables. I find many of the complaints for this case to be wrong. While the metal is a bit thin, the case is sturdy when assembled. I personally had enough screws and there is no need for mounting brackets because the motherboard tray has it's own built-in. The push-off PCI panels are cheap but they were not that hard to remove and didn't bend my case at all. What I didn't like is how the top and bottom PCI panels were NOT push-off and I bent one of those expecting it was. Also, removing the front panel is not that hard, just pull from the bottom.

Cons: I was hoping this would be a LITTLE more sturdy and involve less plastic; the glossy kind can scratch easily. I would've preferred something to block off unused vents - too many empty holes and you'll ruin the airflow. However, I covered up the unused vents myself, and I knew about the vent "problem" before getting this. The red LED was uselessly dim, but with my setup a power LED is redundant so I decided to use that for the HDD LED instead and just ditched the red one. The part where I decided to deduct an egg was the USB port area. First of all, it LOOKS like it's a regular 3.5" bay, but it isn't. I wouldn't care so much about them making it built-in if they made it blend in with the mesh. I was relying on it being removable.

Overall Review: There isn't much room to hide cables, but there is at least sufficient room to make them not interfere with air flow. I don't really see the point of hiding them from view when you can't even see inside other than that tiny window. I can see why some users might struggle to mount fans on the top, but I personally don't use them. I have them blocked off because I have one of those sideways-mounted heatsinks. Using a DVD drive, I made a tunnel that lets air pass directly to the CPU and straight out the back, while using the side panel vent to cool strictly my northbridge and GPU. The PSU has a bottom-mounted fan so that too has it's own cooling system.

Pros: Really decent case for the price. Well finished and nice looking. Great for standard air cooled builds on a budget.

Cons: I bought this case fully intending this to be a water cooled build with the Corsair H100i. It was apparent after about an hour of toying around that was not going to happen with this case without modifying the case. Despite the dual 120mm outlets on the case top that match the Corsair H100i radiator, there is not enough clearance on top inside to mount the radiator without taking out the cutter tool and modifying the upper drive bay by notching it by about 1/4 inch. No way, no how, is it going to sit flat horizontally at the top otherwise. Then....even if you did mod the case to fit the radiator flush with the top, the Corsair's dual 120mm fans interfere with the motherboard clearance. Just a total NO GO. So.... I decided to go with another case in the same price range rather than mod this one. Too much effort. This review is just a heads up for those who think they can use this for a watercooling setup....I'm saving you some time and effort. Use the Cooler Master N400 case instead. It is designed for 240mm radiators. Also.... Lower hard drive tray inserts are REALLY cheap plastic on the ThermalTake case....still functional and usable though.

Overall Review: Overall a good case...but not for anything other than air cooled builds...despite the large 240mm openings on the case top and side. I gave it 4 stars because it was a good case, just not for my needs. It should state NOT WATER COOLING COMPATIBLE in the description. That would be helpful in many other PC case descriptions too.

Pros: Good setup, drive bay mounts are easy and sturdy, lots of 120mm fan ports, decently sturdy, good paint job.

Cons: Flimsy power button that wobbles a bit, front usb ports are tight.

Overall Review: For the price this case is really good. The paint job is great, and its sturdier than most cases. The power button is my main gripe its wobbly and cheap feeling, and the front usb ports are very tight almost to the point of scratching your usb device which is what drops an egg for me. Overall though its a very cool looking and good case.
