Is this easy to add an internal SSD to?

I assume that any SSD will be 2.5", so it would require an adapter - that would be to replace the existing HDD.

Lenovo changed the chassis this year to allow a second HDD (spinning or SSD)to be added to it.  However, it requires a cage-like thing that hangs off the bottom of the DVD-drive inside, and that cage-like thing isn't a readily available part; it was designed to be used where a system is ordered with a second HDD already installed.

If you can get ahold of that adapter somehow, then you can add a second drive.  If not, then replacing the existing drive with a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter is your best bet.

Question 2

I like this computer - as it's compatible with everything I have - except - it is a 64 bit system.  -- I have some very necessary  irreplaceable 32 bit software that is no longer available for any kind of compatibility update, and so I need to know how does a 64 bit system handle 32 bit software? I need to know any cons more than the pros.    Thanks.

I can't offer any technical reasons for how 64 bit systems handle a 32-bit application, but I can say that by design, a 32-bit piece of software should install and work fine on a 64-bit system.

That said, there are some pieces of software that do not work on 64-bit systems, and the older the application, the more likely that it will have issues.

Best thing for you to try would be to install the software on the 64-bit system, and see what happens.  Then, if it has problems, you can try different types of compatibility options.  In properties of the shortcut to the software, there is a Compatibility tab.  You can try some of the options in there.

If it simply will not work on the 64-bit system, then you may be able to contact Lenovo for an OEM Win7 32-bit recovery disk.  Your machine's license should cover both 64 and 32-bit version of the OS; it simply came pre-loaded with 64-bit.  They would likely charge you a small amount for the disk, but nothing like the full cost of a new OS.

I can't guarantee that last paragraph, but Lenovo could confirm for you.

can I attach 3 monitors to this, using usb ports and aftermarket adaptors?

It will support two monitors by default, one VGA and one DisplayPort (most monitors don't have DisplayPort connectors, so you may need to get a DisplayPort-to-VGA or DVI adapter).  To add a third monitor, you would need to either install an add-in video card or use a USB adapter, as you mentioned.

Does the motherboard have a PCI express slot to install a new low-profile graphics card?

Yes- I put in a better card (Nvidia GT 610) and I'm running dual monitors. It's a low profile slot though, so it won't take a big card. Handles World of Tanks OK.

I don't believe the computer is WIFI compatible unless you connect an external antenna.

It comes with one DVI and VGA connector (white and blue respectively) and has an HDMI port so you would need either a splitter or monitors that can hook up one of two of the above

It has the VGA port and a DisplayPort.  A converter can be used to convert the DisplayPort to DVI.
