Cold Laser, also referred to as Low-Level Laser or Class IV Laser Therapy refers to a form of laser therapy that stimulates cell regeneration and increases blood circulation. It employs deep-penetrating light to promote a chain of chemical reactions known as photobiostimulation. This process also helps relieve pain through the release of endorphins and stimulates injured cells to heal at an accelerated pace.
650nm Red Laser Light can improve blood circulation, works on the upper surface of the skin to reduce inflammation, skin redness, stimulate acupuncture points and improve after-surgical woundshealing, injuries, etc.
808nm Near-infrared Laser Light is invisible to the human eye, which has the potential to penetrate deep in the tissue layer to relieve painfrom deep muscle and joint like knee arthritis, cervical spondylosis, rheumatoid arthritis, shoulder periarthritis, sleep disc and much more.
It can reduce pain by reducing inflammation through "vasodilation" (the opening of blood vessels) and by activating the lymphatic drainage system, thus draining fluid from swollen areas. Less swelling, less fluid means less pain. These features allow cold laser to provide a non-invasive, pain-free treatment that is adjunctive or complimentary therapy for a variety of conditions.
Cold laser therapy uses light photons that are introduced to your skin with a wand that contains several light-emitting diodes. As the photons enter your skin and pass through injured tissue, chemical changes to the mitochondria of the cells occur, signaling them to increase the production of adenosine triphosphate.
This is theorized to cause positive healing to those tissues.
Low-level laser therapy, typically at 600- to 1,000-nanometer wavelength, is best to increase blood flow and improve healing in injured tissues.
