The ones we bought are for Christmas gifts....however, try opening the camera and there should be an icon or touch area that switches from from to back or reverse...

is the tablet lasting for you? battery life? can it play any light games that are not flash/webbrowser games? how many internet tabs can it have open? how limiting is the 1gb of ram? the ram is my biggest concern.

I don't play any games, I only use it to browse the Web, read e--mails and use the maps and other apps. I was surprised to notice that the battery lasts for 2-3 days with moderate consumption (2-4h of activity a day). I frequently find myself with 3 IE tabs open, I think the maximum was 6, but that's a bit relative. I don't feel limited by the RAM, but then again, I only bought it to alleviate the pain of reading through a smartphone's monocular screen, so the worst that it ever did was to browse the web, while it had the maps, 3 e-mail clients, and the Facebook app open, and I saw it slowing down for a few seconds only once, before resuming at the normal pace.

Does the Encore 2 run Windows RT or can you install any Windows application on this?

It's an Intel Atom processor, so it's x86 (32 bits, btw), so you can install almost any Windows application you want, provided it fits the drive space and available memory.
