The TPE-TG160g switch's fan seems loud. Loud like a server fan, not a switch. It certainly is not producing much heat. Is this normal for this product, or do I have a defect?

Yes, this is a loud switch and for good reason. The power producing for PoE and the additional ports it supplies, would make this a bit loud indeed...Coming from a 12 port small switch to this big one, it's a big change!!
