How does this mount on a surface?  Does it have built-in holes for screws?  How do the mounting brackets attach?  I would like to mount this on the underside of a computer desk along the rear edge so that the computer and many accessories can be plugged in without having all the power cords drape to the floor.  I am wondering if the brackets will be able to permanently support the weight of the power bar or whether I should pick a different product with built-in mounting holes.

There are 2 small brackets with mounting screws that will attach to the surface of your choice. The strip will then snap into place in the brackets. You do have to be sure to not put to heavy of plug-ins on it if it's hanging upside down. I have plugged in 9 3-pronged plugs without it falling upside down. When I attach a larger plug (built in surge suppressor in plug), it will pull it right off. I mounted it to the brace on the back of my desk instead of the bottom of the desktop and have had no issues with any size plug in.
