Pros: Just got it today and it is working amazing. I have it hooked up to two 4870's in Crossfire, a Phenom 9950, 2 hard drives and a combo drive with no issues whatsoever.
Silent as can be, should be considered the ninja of PSU's
It is also running very, very cool, that is always a plus.
Very small, I was expecting something a bit longer, but to my surprise I got sheer Awesomeness.
Cons: Non-modular. No big deal, I have a few drive bays open.
Overall Review: I would buy it again just to have it. I kind of want it inside of me...
Pros: Long enough cables to fit all my connections in a Xaser III full tower.
Performance is on par with specified norms, and the fan is very quiet with little heat.
Cons: Perhaps the fact that the company lists it as a modular PSU, when infact it is not. However this is not an epic issue.
Overall Review: Was designed to be used with a new MSi P45 Plat, HD 4870 x2, 3.16 Wolfdale + 2GB of dominator DDR2 on a 150 WD raptor. However, due to bent pins the mobo would not POST. At any rate, its powering my old system just fine.. if not a bit overkill for a K8N Neo based system.
Cons: That company is so bad ! I sent them many many emails and after nearly a year i got an answer, my rebate is not valid !!
it seems if you buy any of their other product you will only get 1 rebate for all, it even might be one rebate for life that it ! i bought 1 psu1000w and another 500w and so i only get 1 rebate, same think will happen if you buy a computer case and a psu (the lady said that to me), you will get only one rebate ...
Overall Review: i will never buy anything from that company again for sure ...
now imagine how their warranty is !?!

Not bad power supply....BUT10/1/2010 9:22:09 AM
Pros: 3-way SLI. Plenty of power connections. Huge 120mm exhaust fan. Super quite fan.
Cons: After 1.5 years of ownership I started to get a very high pitch sound coming from the power supply unit. Almost sounded like electrical interference. It would alter in pitch and intensity when I moved my mouse. The unit has a 3 year warranty on it. Got an RMA. Communication between Tuniq RMA is very poor. Took over 2 weeks to get a replacement unit. The new unit came in new retail box with all the accessories. The unit is quit for now, hope I dont have any more issues.
Overall Review: Not sure if I would buy this unit again. Spent around $160 on it with a $80.00 dollar mail in rebate that I never got. I take my time when filling out rebate because I know if one thing is missing the rebate will be canceled. This is the first mail in rebate that I didn't receive. Really think I over paid for this unit. Similar units sell around $80-$100 bucks as I think are just as good.
Good price and PSU, but rebate status???2/10/2010 2:57:19 PM
Pros: Has worked fine in my setup, though I'm not a gamer nor due to push my pc to the limits.
Cons: Where is my rebate?
Overall Review: It's been 6 months and my rebate is still MIA, despite 3 emails now to the company. Don't purchase if you're hoping for a rebate!

NO WARRANTY!2/3/2010 8:52:21 PM
Pros: Well, it worked for about six months...
Cons: Well, it ONLY worked for about six months...
Overall Review: Tuniq's Warranty does not exist! First off, there is NO phone number to call. If you email, expect weeks between replies... if you're lucky enough to get one at all. They are incredibly useless. I've sent countless emails over the past month or more, and still NOTHING on how I can get my power supply replaced or repaired. I pity anyone who needs to call Tuniq to task over a broken PSU... YOU WILL BE HOSED.
Pros: The power supply still works as I would expect. Eggcelent price after rebate...if they would send it to me. See below
Cons: This is what I wrote to the rebate center
On 7-18-2009 I bought a Tuniq Ripper PSU-RIP1000W-BK 1000W ATX12V Power Supply from Newegg.com. I applied for the rebate as offered on Newegg. It has now been twenty three weeks since the date stated in your rebate terms and conditions -- "Please allow 12 - 14 weeks to process after 8-21-2009 (last postmarked date) by fulfillment company to receive your rebate".
I have been patient, and this is the second email I have sent regarding my rebate. The first email returned "0" response. Now my patients is running thin. PLEASE forward my rebate check to me as As Soon As Possible.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Sincerely, *********
Overall Review: If I had bought this without the promise of a rebate I'd given it five eggs, but Tuniq/Sunbeam ( or any other company) shouldn't promise a rebate and not follow through...especially if it's almost half the purchase price!!
Cons: As far as the PSU goes no complaints but service with the company is terrible, so hope this psu never breaks. Sent in a rebate form back in July and patiently waited for the check. Still nothing, so naturally I emailed them. And absolutely NO RESPONSE, who wants to do business with a company that just ignores you not even a shake off. Screw this company and others that do business this way.
