Does this mouse have a ratcheting or smooth scroll wheel?

Ratcheting, and it's fairly long between grooves. Pushing the wheel down is fairly stiff, which is what I dislike. Honestly, the mouse wheel is probably the weakest sell of this mouse, but I think the wheel is still slightly better than my previous mouse: Razer Deathadder. I've been happy with everything else about this mouse, but if I could change one thing it'd be the middle mouse click resistance.
