Is this device a router or does it somehow establish internet access without going through a provider?

Accepted Answer

No - this is just an antenna/amplifier that can send a network link over the air to another, identical unit. Useful for bridging an expanse of land where you can't run a fiber line, but it won't give you internet without having a provider come in somewhere and hook you up.

Is the 24GHz spectrum unlicensed in U.S. Cities? Please note this is 24GHz not 2.4GHz.
