Does Windows 10 support this mouse?

Yes. I used to have a naga mouse and this one seems to be as good with the additional feature of having raised buttons on the side where Naga's were smooth and hard to feel. I'm actually pretty impressed with its performance so far.

I love this mouse. No issues at all and I've had it for 4 years or so. One of the best values out there. I use it on a havic rgb cloth mouse pad. No friction issues for me.

Im not sure what the "original" version is. But i can say i love the mouse.

Easy to raise or lower the sensitivity. 
12 side buttons. 
You can change the "color" using the software using as entire color wheel as opposed to just a few presets. 
Comfortable in the hand and slides nicely.

I guess to answer your question... End result? Id say upgraded version?

In the software you can set on a slider from 50 to 16400 DPI in 5 settings per profile, over 5 profiles.

Yes, it works just like a normal mouse, but you can program the extra buttons to do what ever you want them to do
