Vantec USB External 7.1 Channel Audio Adapter - Model NBA-200U

Pros: -Slick, actually looks very nice with most light-color palette computers. -Perfect audio. Compared to most adapters, who lose audio quality, this actually improved it from my default jack. -Tight fight, the jack doesn't rock around on the plug-in at all, very good thing to have. -Microphone transfer rate is a little low, but otherwise it sounds quite nice.

Cons: -Wobbles a bit in the USB drive. Kind've expected though, most things do. -The symbols are a little hard to see on first glance on which is headphone which is microphone, but on second inspection it's OK.

Overall Review: -I would definately reccomend this if you're looking for a cheap, quality adapter.

Pros: Just plug it into an available USB (2.0) and that's it. Sounds great, audio goes from analog to digital 16 bit resolution, just plug it in. OK, early digital but way ahead of analog, but you get the quiet. Driver circuitry built into this tiny device. Works flawlessly in my Windows 10 Lenovo.

Cons: None on my end.

Overall Review: In all fairness. I have not have occasion to use the mic input. But the speaker output sounds great.

Pros: It works great for those people whom do not have a dedicated sound card or an old one without 5 or 7.1 surround sound support. The device is quite simple to set up and use. Just plug and play.

Cons: Sadly produced drastically inferior audio compared to an old Audigy SE I had lying around, to the point of being tinny. Swapping for a real sound card (Asus Xonar D1 PCI)

Overall Review: May work great for many, sadly I'm not one of those. Kudos to Newegg for all they do for the PC enthusiast.

Pros: Plugged it in, installed the drivers from disk, and it worked perfectly. Have my 2.1 hooked up to it and my Fatality headset.

Cons: This item's description is very misleading. It does not support surround sound through the S/PDIF port. Optical connections, both input and output, are both 2-channel (aka, stereo). Nowhere on the product page on newegg, the company's product page, or the product packaging or documentation does it state this. Annoyingly bright LEDs. Constant, low volume sound (white noise) from S/PDIF.
